4.2 Engine miss / cutout

Advice please!! I have a 4.2 in a 2001 X17, and run loaded to full GVWR at all times. When cruising, engine RPM at 1500 to 1700, I get a complete cutout, for just an instant. My first reaction, was a dead spot in the TPS, so I replaced that, but it made no difference. Fuel filter has less than 10K miles, 85K on engine's original plugs and wires. Seems to be a tad worse when at full operating temp, not as bad when cool.
Any ideas!!??
