Well now have my dirty little paws on my 12 Scab 5.0 yote 3.55 4x4 XLT with the XTR package upgrade. Just got it Sat and it is already giving me better mileage than my 09 3V 5.4 did. I only have about 500 miles on it as of right now but on the highway it is 2 mpg better that my 09 was and the 5.0 is still not broken in yet! I am happy that them Ford boys got the engine 6 speed transmission thing figured out as there have been no strange shifts and it is not searching for a gear going up moderate hills while on cruse control on a highway run. It has yet to down shift from 6 at 70 mph. I really want to get into some steeper hills to see what will happen with the shifting while on cruse. So far I am silly happy with the truck on day two and will continue to watch for the differences between the two as I break this one in. I am pretty mellow while breaking in a motor these days but I have punched it a couple of times while passing on the highway nothing too over the top mind you but hell it felt like afterburners were lit compared to my 09.
So far so good and for the steal I got this truck for I could not say no just a tick under $ 12,000 off MSRP but I threw some serious extended Platinum Plan eztended warranty on it but it is still less than the truck I traded payment wise and I walked away from the 09 with some money up as it had already been sold by the dealership.
I will keep you all posted on how this beast breaks in and my experience/ comparison to the 09 I traded.
Picture's coming soon to this thread as soon as work quiets down a bit and the wife stops giving me spring cleaning chores around the house after work. Really though I thought my garage was quite neat and orderly but it appears to her that all of my duck and goose decoys could be placed much more neatly and take up much less space. So much for my man cave!
Ah!! the spring time duck and goose decoy cleaning and storing. My truck should be hear some time really soon. It is setting in Dearborn awaiting a ride to Dayton. I told my wife I would need more space in the garage and she said get rid of some decoys or build a new garage. I am going to choose the garage. Enjoy the truck.
How did you manage 12,000 off MSRP????? I find 10,000 off to be the best so far and that includes ford's 1500 XLT conv chrome discount from the factory.

In Canada so the sticker prices are higher than the States plus there was a deal for freight that worked out to 8,000 off plus some money off from Ford Credit Canada as my Mom was an employee for 27 years and even though she retired over 10 years ago. I play the squeeky wheel and get a shot of greese everytime I buy a new one. My whole family on both sides drives Fords well except for one but he ain't right in the head we all think. Dealing with the same salesman/ dealership for almost 18 years and so on. Don't worry though I still payed a bit more than the same truck purchased in the States with both dollars at par. Just filled up today and reg -87 is currently $5.13 per gallon and only headed up. Everything Just costs more up here sucks but that is the way it is.
As per a request for a picture here is a quick one I snapped today showing the snow on the ground we got yesterday. Yes still getting some snow up here and below freezing most every night. As you can see the area getting sun it has melted off but some lingers. Heading north to the oil sands on Wensday to pull some shifts but after I get back I will up a report on the first 3-4 weeks of how the 12 is doing. It is all double time work so I could stay for a while if the hours are there. Don't worry though boys the wife is already thinking of ways to spend it before I get ahold of Roush and 5 star tuning to tweek my little gem
