time for an IVR i guess

i was driving home a couple nights ago and noticed my temp gage was pinned all the way to the right. then i noticed my oil gage was on the "l" when its normally "m", and my fuel gage was reading 3/8 when it should have been less than 1/8.
first thing i did was look for a voltmeter, and it was charging at a normal voltage, so all thats left to cause this is an IVR, right
the IVR looked pretty simple to get off the cluster, but is there anything i should be aware of while doing it?

as i had it apart a few weeks ago for something else, i looked into replacing all my dash lights, as many were out, but found instead that the bulb sockets were too loose around the bulbs. this fixed all but the right turn signal indicator, any likely trouble points i should look for to solve this? anybody know which wire in the dash harness it is so i can test there?
