Anyone know how to remove the front evaporator core and A/C box from the firewall of a 1989 Econoline? I have everything removed that is removable and there is no way an 18" A/C box will come out through a 12" opening (guesstimating sizes here but you get the idea).
The inner fender well, cowl and battery tray are all integral to the body and non-removable. After fighting it yesterday for over three hours with no success, I'm about ready to apply copious amounts of oxygen mixed with acetylene. I'd start tearing apart the entire front end, fender, grill, radiator, radiator support, etc. but I don't see how that would gain me any more access.
