ECU Question
I have a 99 Expedition; it wouldn't start, an injector stayed on and filled the entire motor with fuel until it was pouring out of the intake. When I towed it home I noticed the mileage was straight dashes across. I was told this was a computer problem so I pulled the computer out of my other 99 Expedition, put it in and it showed the millage of my other truck, but wouldn't crank over. I was told it wouldn't crank over because of PATS security. I bought a computer off of Ebay, now where the mileage is there's nothing and it cranks over with this new computer. Before I pay to have it towed to Ford and the computer programmed, can someone explain to me why its cranking over when it shouldn't and why the mileage is blank. The part numbers match.
