I know this may sound like an odd question.....but is there a side that injectors predominately go out on ? Like if you kept track of 1000 trucks, which side of the motor would show the most injector failures ? Any guesses ? Just curious.
sure its a 50/50 chance that the ones on the right side will fail before the ones on the left.
also there is a 50/50 changce the ones on the left will go out befor the ones on the right.
Ive replaced alot of sticks and its random. as a matter of fact I did 7 of them today between 2 trucks.
I'll bet if one side of the engine was substantially more difficult to change injectors on, then it would bias to that side. Since both sides are pretty much equal, the only option the truck has, is to blow one up on each side so you have to pull both valve covers.
Hey Chezit why do the injectors go out? Just wondering. I have replaced all 8 now. I can drive around town and no problems, Hook up to the 5th wheel camper drive about 20 miles and start going up a slight incline and I drop another injector. Any help would be nice.

while on injectors, is there a better injector to buy instead of the ford injectors. I have had ten injectors replaced so far and the ford delership told me new injectors are not offered just remans.
Yes fuel pump was replaced. Still having injectors going.
What was the fuel pressure reading? The pressure is just as important as the volume. I'd still double check the pressure and FICM if your loosing that many injectors. No one loose that many for no reason.

That is correct, there are no new 6.0L injectors available out there. Everything is reman...like it or not. For the money you won't find anything better than the Fords. Yeah, you could buy aftermarket parts...but you'll be back in there replacing 'em again.

It's more important to know at WOT or under a load than at idle. You could very easily be dropping way low on fuel pressure under load (pulling), but dropping an injector in 20 miles I might suspect another problem.
