4.2L vs. 4.6L?
My sentiments exactly! My '97 easily pulls a 16 ft. trailer w/tractor and attached bush-hog, although the milage does tend to suffer a bit more. I also own a '00 Expedition w/4.6 and as far as I can tell the 4.2 holds its own. Of course there is a substantial weight difference. Moral of this story----- I will be a FORD owner until I die, I've had my one other Detroit brand.

I just bought an '03 4.2L F150 sport 5 speed. The only thing it has is a dirty K&N Filter...lets just say I agree with it being able to beat a 5.4 - cause I did too. As far as acceleration goes, it's friggin fast for a V6. A V8 is ment to be powerful, but when you leave an 8 behing with a 6 - that's proving something.
