Loaded up Matt's 8K tow tune and Towed with mine for the first time and WOW!

Between the car and trailer if guess it was a little under 10K, but I have to say the power and ability of the 6.0 BEATS my well built 7.3 Excursion hands down!

Off the line the 6.0 has unbeatable response, it pulled trailer as if it weren't there. I could easily keep up with traffic without having to mash the skinny pedal much more than I would without a trailer.

Overall, between Matt's 8K tow tune and the towing technology that Ford developed, it's an awesome, well built, tow monster.

Its hard to believe a 7.3 owner is finally giving reps to the 6.0. Oh and I changed fuel filters today.

Swapped in the new sub and soldered the message center back into working order. Capped off with a trip to the gun range!

Hey, so did I! The 7.3 is getting it's oil changed next pay check.

I own both and try to be unbiased these days when it comes to a lot of things. I never doubted the 6.0s towing ability, I just never experienced it till now and I Love it!!!

That trailer doesn't weigh 7000 pounds. Car + trailer is likely 5500 pounds.

That trailer is 1900 pounds on the head, car is around 3000-3500. Bullitt has it about right.

Actually he was a little off and so was I....

The trailer was about 2500 pounds and the car is 4460 pounds according to the door sticker. If you do the math it's just under 7K.

I doubt the door sticker shows curb weight, but GVWR. That car is 3554 pounds curb weight.

If that trailer indeed weighs 2500 it is way overweight.
