Just painted these junk yard retrievals to look a little better than the various shades of faded red. Will get the real things soon enough.
On a serious note I realized when playing with these that the newer variations only take a 1/4 turn while the older ones take almost a full turn. Nice little upgrade if the opportunity presents itself; these came with the spindles from the 79 Bronco after I bolted them on from a 90's Bronco. Basically free.
I actually did make custom hubs once. The paddle section holding pin was breaking with a locked front end trying to undo. Got a machine shop to machine new paddle out of all aluminum and the turn handle was a machined on 7/8 nut so I just threw a socket on it when it was tight

That would be nice, I like to build up a nice reference file of little changes and mods that people have done on their trucks. It helps with coming up with ideas for my own rig! Sorry for the thread jack!
