WwvoVO

This is probable a question for DZL JIM,does wvo go bad if stored in a barrel,or can it be used no matter how old.

Thanks Jim

I don't think you're supposed to store WVO in a steel container for polymerization reasons. Plastic is fine I believe but all my research has said that WVO and steel for long term storage is a no-no.

Sure thing! I researched for a while about using WVO or brewing Bio, but just about everyone who has any volume of grease around here already has contracts with commercial companies to buy their WVO, so no dice on that front. Good luck though! I would still love to have my truck running on WVO some day.

Oh, I've been busy with other things. I've still been lurking around the site from time to time, but haven't had much time to post a lot. Lots of little projects going on at home and busy at work. Really cutting into my FTE time!

Wow, Thanks! That's a load off my mind. How have you been? Gearing up for a summer of towing the 5'er? I think I heard you say you were out for a short trip a week or two ago. How did the truck do?

Truck ran great, thanks for asking. Before the summer of towing begins in mid April I'm replacing my oil cooler and all filters and oils and coolant and and ! Its funny about my last trip, I discovered that I had the wrong brake controller. After I had the disk brakes put on the 5er I went about eight thousand miles. Now I learned that I needed one with the option of 'electric over hydraulic'. Works great now! LOL

Glad the truck is running well. Let the tailgating begin, as your joke goes, I guess lol.

I am in the midst of collecting the parts to start the body work on my truck. I have front fenders, front doors, a hood, a bed (that needs patch panels welded in), and a tailgate. Thinking Royal blue and white might be the color combo once I can save the funds for paint. Something like this:

I love the look of that truck, and I am hoping that mine will look that clean some day. I am considering reversing this scheme though and have the truck be primarily blue with white down the center.

I think it would too, we shall see if I can ever get the funds together to get it done. I figure it t his way, I can make a truck payment into the process in months when I have the funds available and in months when i don't I am under no obligation to make the "payment".

That sounds like a plan! Four years ago I stopped working on my 65 mustang fastback. I got it running and planned on painting it royal blue with white racing stripes but plans changed.
