Fog light question

Okay this is in regards to the plug. So if I took aftermarket lights (see below) and wiring harness (also pictured below). Could I cut the harness and wire the lights to the female side of the plug and then use that to plug into the factory fog light plugs? It sounds like it would work in my head but that doesn't mean a thing. So I need some input from you guys.

Depends on the draw, stock fogs are about 45-55 watts, how much do those pull?

I believe they are going to be bright as sombich... As for the mounting spot, I have not yet decided. Have some messing around to do before I find the right spot. Wanna help me decide?

Crafty...lol!

After doing some reading, I think you should be able to plug right in and go.

The stock bulb is 45w and it hooks to a 5 amp fuse, so the 1.8A @ 12V those fogs need are well within the specs.

You could mount them in the near stock location right below the middle front.

You could also mount them topside in front of the grill

Either way, it'll be sweeeeettttt....

Thanks for digging up the info for me. I almost sent you a PM asking if you wanted to go in on a set of 4 of these, it would've saved almost 20 bucks a pair. I'm considering putting some on the back end, depending on what these look like. Same deal goes there.

Yes those will work, you need to get the polarity right because they are l.e.d.'s They are from super bight led.com, they come in both spot & flood type. I was thinking about those, but was worried about local law complaining how bright they are!

These are not from superbright, they charge for one light what I paid for two. I'm pretty sure they come from the same place though... I'll let you know how bright they are when I wire them up. I anticipate retna burn.

Great lights! My wife would kill me, because I wouldn't be able to resist turning them on as I'm pulling into the driveway!
I'm thinking they should work fine, but looks like you got your answers!

TXtinct, You're gonna have to give up your source once you confirm they work well as driving lights. I'd love a set or two like that...for "off road use only" hahaha

Im sure other drivers won't like your Way bright fog/spot lights. I've left mine on by accident and the people behind me get agitated
