NEW chapter decal thread.

Hello all,

As mentioned in the decal vote thread, I am making a new chapter decal thread. I am extending the deadline to the end of this month. So anyone who wants to submit a design for consideration please have it in by then. On April 1st I will make a new poll thread with all the submissions we have. So please post your designs here, and not in the old decal thread. I will start off by posting my latest revision with the correct wording for Northern California Chapter.

I like it Jim. I don't think it has any gang conitations. I would like to see the lettering a little larger so that it's easier to read. Jag

As Dan stated, not so much mine, as the two from nikmish, however, since it was really an easy thing to change, I decide to do mine as well. Honestly tho, I doubt any gang member would consider my design to be an infringement on one of theirs.

I really doubt it too, I think he should leave Nikmish's design alone. He obviously worked hard on it. Dan can use yours of course I'm young so I think Nikmish's is one I would be proud to put on my rig. This designs have to be approved by the FTE right? Let them choose if saying Nor Cal is ok.

The decal has two purposes, one to show our pride in being Ford Truck Enthusiasts, and two, to help get people to join us on the FTE site. I like both of nikimish's designs, but neither of them have all the info that I think an official chapter logo decal should have. That is why I extended the deadline to the end of the month. So he can add the info, or come up with something different. If he wishes to keep the Old English style lettering that is up to him, however, he still would need to add the url to both of his designs, and FTE to his first. It also gives ShamelessMT more time to get his together. I too have been thinking of replacing the circle border with a square border, since the decal's target size was to be 4 inches by 4 inches. Now, I am thinking maybe have two sizes available. So it gives people more options in where they want to display it on their trucks. Have a 4x4" design for window corners or bumpers, and a 6x6" design for the back window or maybe side windows, may even try an 8x8" size, but that may prove to be too big.

Ok Jim you explained it in a way I understand. Just so I know ahead of time do we have official or unofficial gang colors so we can argue about that later, lol.

That's great Jim, just make sure when they redo the pics it's not in those colors just to be safe.

Looks good, might want to delete the /forum/forum90/ at the end of the url, but otherwise I like it.

The NOR-CAL name is all over the state. I see it on a daily basis as I drive down the road. The whole idea of a club sticker was derailed when the Northern California group was formed, what five years ago? Somebody poisoned the waters by saying that everybody will think we are gang bangers. Nor-Cal is the way to go. It's easier to read because it has fewer letters. This means that the letters can be larger in the same space. And isn't that what it's about? Getting the word out? I say go for the Nor-Cal title(s). Let's get it done so that we can get the word out and increase our membership. Jag

Okay, so how about this? We already have the designs with Nor-Cal in them, and we both have modified them to say Northern California Chapter. So, what we do is submit both designs for consideration, and let the members decide. I have already stated in a previous post that nikmish can use his previous designs as long as they had the necessary info in them, even use the Old English style lettering if he wants. All designs will be put up for a vote at the end of the month. This gives us more time to get other people to submit designs, and gives nikmish and I a chance to tweak ours if we want to.
