Hey guys
Just thought you might be able to use this info. The cable on my locking hood latch broke awhile back but i got it fixed. You can use a brake cable from a bicycle shop and just cut it to the right length. They have a type of end that you can put on it to make the loop. The cable slides through, you make the loop and slide it back through and it crimps with a pair of pliers.

Sorry, -REAL motorcycle shops... Not the import dealers. Shops that deal in custom parts and repairs for H-D's and your better racing bikes etc. All the import dealers have is factory type replacement parts.
When I pulled mine apart it was no longer attached on the inside. Thts why I had to fix it. What I did was I drilled out the rivets holding it together. Then I pulled the old cable out. The new cable had 1/4 inch or so stopper already on the end. This slid into the slot on the handle. The other end of the cable slides through the sleeve. Estimate how much you need on the end and make the loop. I just bolted the handle back together but I am sure you can rivet it if you have the equipment.
