Security spikes damaged my tires
want some advise, heres the story i woke up this morning and had a flat on one of my 49" super swampers, so i start looking a little closer and i start to notice small puncture marks and torn tread on all 4 tires, as i sit and wonder WTF, i can see theres a pattern, and i realize its from going over my girlfriends complex exit that has one of those spike rails thats suppose to fold down when exiting, well not with giant tires apparently, whats my recourse and how should i approach the complex with my damages?

I'd be inclined to first go to the tire store where you bought them (or at least a trusted tire store) to have them look at them and be able to back up your claim.
Then, go to the apartment complex and, very nicely, explain your issue. They'll probably first tell you to take a flying leap, since you aren't a resident. Persist and let them know that your girlfriend is a resident there and you'd like to be able to visit her without tearing up your tires. May or may not get any results, but worth a shot.
Of course, when they see 49's on your truck, they'll wonder how much damage those big rollers might be doing to their spike strips.

They might want to think that, but it's not a valid argument at all. The big wide tires are putting down fewer PSI on the ground than the skinny tires of a car.

There may be an issue with the diameter of the tire and the angle that the tires come in contact with the spikes. The spikes are supposed to depress when the tires hit them at a certain angle, and since your tires are so large they may be hitting them at the wrong angle. It may be a fault of the design of the strips and the effect they have on a street legal 49" tire. I emphasize street legal because the strip should be design to work with any street legal tire, not just small car tires.

thanks for the advise guys, keep it coming. i was thinking about how they have it set up on her exit and doing a little math. they have a large speed bump right before the spikes which makes the angle worse on approach. im sure its probably gonna end up in small claims court but i hope they just pay up

I don't think you have anything coming, but that isn't for me to decide.
But I suggest that you visit the location again, and pull your truck up so that your tires are just beginning to contact the spikes. Then take a photo from a low angle so that you can see the approach angle. It is probably the large radius that is out of the normal range for street tires that is causing your problem, and you will see that in a photo.
As for avoiding damage, go slow across the spikes. I mean like snails pace. Or you can just continue to blame others for a situation that you created.

You are missing bpounds intent. You modified the truck for your appearance and ego. He's just saying you've created a problem when there shouldn't have been.
I would think you might need to take your "tire" problem somewhere else. Your 11 posts with bpounds 13K+ post means you probably won't get any sympathy here.

Groundup, I believe I gave you good advice. I explained how to determine if the spikes are really the problem, and then offered a suggestion on how to minimize the damage. Think of this as technical advice.
