8.8 rearend
does anybody know of where i can get a 8.8 rearend for my b2? like 3.73 or 3.55 gears. ive been lookin for one, thought maybe you guys would know where one is hiding out. thanx.

There isn't a bolt in 8.8 for the Bronco II. A 3rd gen ranger (93-97) is the same width as a B2's rear, but the spring pads need to be relocated on the rear end to line up with the B2 springs. Most people get an 8.8 out of an Explorer. They are 1.5 in wider than a B2, rear, and most often have factory linited slip. The Ex rear required that spring pads be added to the top side of the axel, and the shock mounts on the axel be relocated to match the B2. You will have to change the rear flange on the driveshaft to a larger 8.8 type also.

none of this is a problem. i need the ranger axle because of the width, xploder is too wide. i just need to find one for my 5.0 swap, the ranger ones are hard to come by...either that or im not lookin in the right place at the right time.
