I was thanking of towing a two car trailer
I have a 1963 F!00 short bed step side 429 thounder jet C-6 trans engine 9 inch rear I was thanking It should pull a two car trailer. Can't seem to find any thing where the max GVW is on the internet Anyway I wanted to make some extra cash running cars.

A 429 and C-6 (with a trans cooler) is plenty enough power to get that load moving. So far so good.
The first problem is that most hitches are rated maximum 5,000 lb or so and two cars + trailer is well over that. An equalizing hitch can go to 10,000. Doubt you have a fifth wheel/gooseneck setup.
Second, a SRW F-100 probably cannot properly control trailer sway from a load quite a bit heavier than the truck!
The next problem comes when you try and STOP it...
I'm sure everyone will chime in about how their grandpa pulled a D-9 Cat up the Eisenhower Pass with an F-1 flathead six, but just because someone got away with it once doesn't make it a safe thing to attempt.

Sure you can pull it, but pulling it safely? thats a whole different idea. I have a friend who pulled a 25 foot camper with an 86 ranger. The pulling isnt the hard thing its the stopping, steering, not dying parts you need to worry about. A thunder jet with a c6 would definetly do it but on a 1/2 ton truck is not a good idea imho. Do an axle upgrade if you have your mind set on it. By the way dont listen to the guy that said your 50+ year old truck couldnt handle it. I pull 30 ft stock trailers full of cows with mine all the time. Its a 3/4 ton though.

As for those old heavy duties, though, I bet you could pull even more than that! Those old 3/4s and 1 tons are tough

Thanks everyone I did thank of the steering I'm doing the toyota power steering convershion. And brakes front Im going for speed way moters disc brake covershoin (they use like a 1987 F-150 roter). And rear brakes thanking of lincolin disk brakes. Front end is rebuilt. Rear end thanking of useing air bag assist. I can get front and rear sway bars from vintage ford. And 17witha664x4 said I should axel up grade it, man I was thanking the 9 inch was strong enough. I do have a hitch that welded to the frame. Thay always have fith wheel hiches for sell on craigs list. The trans just re built the engine new stait gears new vodoo cam and lfters and spings. Not to maney old things lift on the truck

Bad, bad, bad idea. You loose it hit a vehicle with kids in it and the rest of your life will be spent paying law suites. You need a modern 1ton truck to earn money with it. A 450 or 550 would be better.
I doubt you could pass DOT regs to get started. Cross state lines and more doors get opened. Weigh stations, more inspectors.

Don't even think about doing this. You won't get past your first weight station.
You will far exceed the capabilities of your truck as soon as you've put it into gear.
If you want to make money hauling, do it like a professional with the right equipment
...any CHP or State Trooper or local Police would take one look at your set-up and
pull you over.

Simple question for you.... DO you have 8 or 10 lug wheels? if not you are putting a lot of faith in your 5 or 6 lug wheels , nuts and studs. There is a simple reason that big trucks use so many lug nuts and studs, it is the same reason that the older F250's on up had 8 lugs The shear strength of the Studs... let's not even get started on the Braking system, the spring strength, Axle Strength, and Frame torque loading capacities just to name a few issues. There is a reason that Ford made different Models with the same or similar Bodies. The price difference between an F100 and an F250 has a reason, as they really are two similar but different trucks.

I agree 100% the weight rating of a f100 isnt gonna get it for what this guy wants to do

The newer trucks have much better brakes... I know the drum brakes on my '65 dually 350 are nothing to brag about. IF your trailer has good brakes too (and you'll need to add a brake controller, of course) you could probably haul two cars with that older dually 350.
For three cars, you're getting into the same situation, too much trailer and not enough truck. At least an F-450, if not a 550... my two cents.
