I've been troubleshooting a power issue for a couple of months now, looking for clues. My power just isn't what it used to be, especially when the motor is cold. I have AE, and I'm not throwing any codes at all. Was throwing a 0603, but reseated the fuse and that went away. I noticed tonight that I'm a couple of inches low on coolant in the degas bottle, but I just filled it to the min line about a week ago, and I don't have any leaks. ASIDE from my oil cooler, which I am going to rebuild shortly. Coolant in the bottle doesn't appear to have any oil in it. What do you guys think?
little rusty on my trouble shooting, but i think a cracked injector cup might let that snti freeze go out the tail pipe.
On a more simple fix thought, when my buddies late 99 was loosing it out of the water pump weep hole, he wasnt seeing where it was going as most of his miles are highway, he was loosing a quart or 2 a week, but it was essentialy being vaporized with wind speed. hope its something easy.
I was losing it out of the weep hole a few months ago, went and bought a new water pump and it stopped before I replaced it. Don't know why. I drive about a mile to work everyday and there aren't any puddles under the truck like there were before. It just quit, no explanation.

I have seen seals start coming apart and will seal up the weep hole. Sometimes weak fluid can freeze around stuff like the fan shaft by the seal and cause a short leak. All I know is once fluid comes out the hole once the pump will be getting replaced fairly soon.
just pressure test it. I am a mechanic so I have my own but I believe that some parts stores will loan out pressure testors, you just have to make sure you get the right threaded adaptor for the fords NOT THE GM's. otherwise you could buy one. you can get some pretty cheap. may not last long but if it is for personal use what more do you need.
