help asap

2004 f250 v10 stoped for a couple min shut truck off won't start now horn beepd 3 times I am in the middle of nowhere blocking a rd if any one has a idea. Please help

Sounds like you have an aftermarket alarm, and it locked you out. Does the starter crank and engine not start, or does the starter not crank ??? Nothing in an '04 will blow the horn, other than an aftermarket alarm. Look for a valet switch under the dash and try pushing it while turning the key to the start position.

No alarm but does have a after market keyless entry

There must be an aftermarket alarm system installed in it somewhere. I do not think there is anything on a stock vehicle that will make the horn beep three times.

Pressing the lock button two times on the keyless entry will blow the horn either once or twice. Once if all the doors are closed, and twice if one or more doors are ajar.

But, as redford said, nothing will blow the horn thrice!

So after a 2 hour tow home still haven't got it to start but now I have tools and a shop manual. Hers what I found if the wife turns the key and I put a test light on the small terminal on the starter I get power. The way I figure if there is power going to the solenoid and there is power from the battery the solenoid must be gone I also tried to jump from battery lead to the small terminal and got sparks but no croon from starter. So am I right in assuming that I need a starter
