Papa Tiger,
Narrowed tractor issue to starter or switch. Took a mallet to the starter, and voila, it cranked. Guess I need to be looking for a replacement. thanks.

I would suspect starter. With a helper, use a digital multimeter or a volt meter to see if you are getting voltage to the starter when the switch is turned to the start position. If you are, it's the starter.

Truck update - Service Engine light came on tonight. Great. Will check codes tomorrow.

Tractor update - Still cranking. Online dealer says $566 - $706 for new OEM starter!!! Definitely will look at aftermarket if necessary (<$200).

Mabe the #2 plug was damaged in the drop after all.
