intercooler tubes

how hot does the hot side get? im going to be painting them and was wondering if i needed high temp paint.

why chance it, get the heat paint and go at it.

I used high temp primer then high temp paint, I think the 500f stuff and mine have held up fine.

The hot side is not really that hot at all. I checked mine several times and have found that the majority of the heat comes from the exhaust manifold rather than the turbo. Mine have been painted with engine enamel and show no signs of damage. If you are looking to match them to a regular paint, you will be fine too.

Turbo outlet temps can get well above 300*, close to 400*... but this will only happen at VERY high boost levels, and you dont hold those for very long.
