Barney (bfife) had a similar issue about a year back. Turned out to be cruddy fuel clogged his fuel filter. This he discovered after replacing all the cups for his injectors and some other work. I'd hate that you'd wasted money for 3 injectors but sincerely hope it's that simple, but it definitely sounds like fuel starvation:
1. clogged filters (in-tank? fuel bowl? pre-pump all good?)
2. pinched line
3. dying fuel pump

sounds EXACTLY like the issue I was having last yr while I was traveling from Louisiana to Wyoming. Spent a lot of money and time. chasing that that little gremlin. Put a guage on it and I'll almost guaranty you see the pressure drop to nothing while driving. pressure idling don't mean poo, it's pressure running down the road with a load behind it. you can also install a vaccum guage between the tank and pump. Ford says anything over 6lbs of vaccum means the tank screens are plugged. this test IS AT IDLE.

Yes it has been a while. Economy took its toll. Career change and additional family makes internet time not so important.
But helping family is. This site has always pulled through.
Update......
Ipr changed because the idiot..me...put that weeee lil tiny rod in backward and the subsequent problem was that truck was wanting maximum demand.
So, that is fixed.
Sensor on driver side (ipc) changed, oil leaking into wiring.
Fuel pump was changed.......hose runs free and clear diesel directly from tank. Both fuel filters my primary spin on and the engine were changed. No change.
So talking to him today, truck runs screaming great until it warms up or 30 miles. He has been breaking down on side of the road on this trip. He pullled a few of the injectors and found that the top oring was shady or possibly worn because of high oil pressure?
Now he is in process of pulling the injectors to replace the seals/orings as they may be letting oil pressure by after the engine heats up.
Now he has limped both the truck and trailer to Raphine Virginia exit 205 at the Petro.
But helping family is. This site has always pulled through.
