odd sound

Noticed today in the snow, I was pulling out of the driveway in 2H and the rear tires broke loose, weird sound coming from the front end like the truck was trying to engage the 4 wheel drive but it wouldn't go in. Traction control? Threw it in 4H and the sound went away????

yeah TC most likely...sounds like the ABS kicking in to keep the rear tires from spinning
