Gerry the kitchen sink would be about 10ft away.The bathroom sink 5ft and the washing machine is about 26ft.

The problem was the restriction of water flow to maintain enough time in the unit to heat it up, but it couldn't keep up with the demand of the bathing let alone a washing machine too!

Steve, how did ou have it plumbed, did the tankless water have to go through the holding tank after it was heated...........like in series

I had it after the 6 gallon tank, so it would kick in when the tank ran out, but it couldn't keep up with the demand.
