Can anybody give tell me what the value would be on a 65 f100 frame, bed, cab fresh from sandblaster? Would want to do a resto so would need all parts that are needed, hood, fenders, short bed, etc, etc.
Thanks.
The answer that everyone will give in many different phrases breaks down to this "it is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it" ... with older vehicles it is really hard to nail down an actual dollar value, as that varies from region to region. Condition, and demand along with the known past history will all effect the price... If I were buying this I may offer 500 bucks as a starting point and go from there... as long as you are happy with the price it doesn't really matter what we may think is a good price.. Good luck with it!
Body panels are easy, as are a great many parts, some of the interior, and exterior trim can be pretty hard to find unless you are willing to open the wallet.... drive train for the most part pretty simple... there are a lot of shops out there that have re-pops of a great many of the parts.. some a very good quality and some are China junk... you might want to go research some of the supply places to see how the price match up...
Will tell you this though as it applies to me and probably many others. The more a vehicle has deviated from original condition the less I am willing to pay for it. This doesn't mean things like power steering or disc brakes, but exterior, interior, engine, suspension, wheels and other mods to satisfy an owners particular vision.
