They may have seriously improved it, I don't know to be honest. If you want a livewire because of the gauge options there are much better/cheaper alternatives IMHO.

SCT X3 for the tuner without a doubt. Gauges depends on how much $$$ you want to spend. You can get a Scan Gauge II and monitor everything the PCM sees and then add a fuel pressure and EGT gauges because the PCM can't monitor those. There is also the Edge Insight that's very popular but more $$$ than SGII. Regardless, running a tuner I recommend fuel pressure and EGT gauges.
