Ford : F-250 SPORT in Ford | eBay Motors
It's going to be hard to sleep tonight! w00t!

When are you making the voyage to go get her?
Thank you so much John.
Hey Gavin!

I was reading about the F-250 you bought on eBay and thought I'd better let you know about this.
There was a guy who was spamming the forums the other day with a news article about the guy (ccr_005) who sold you that truck. Apparently he's got a habit of selling bad stuff, not delivering on sold items, scamming on eBay, etc. According to the guy who was posting the article, this guy has convictions and previous charges for fraud related to this.
Here's a link about him from the '73 - '79 forum:

And here's what the guy was posting on here the other day.......

It's sad that I try to help out by exposing a con-man in hopes it may help 1 person save their money and I get banned from this site for awhile and berated by a moderator with no real knowledge of this situation. Obviously, several people have been scammed on this site by Adam, it is 100% relevant. The state dropped these charges due to lack of resources. Asotin county could not afford to fly in numerous people to testify, they squeezed Adam to pay them back which he did. He has a long conviction history of theft related crimes which are public record, this news article is also on the Lewiston Clarkston Tribune and is copy and pasted just how they wrote it. No name calling, just the facts.
Clarkston man faces charges of cheating eBay bidders
Largent allegedly delivers less than was advertised
Saturday, October 4, 2003
EBay customers from across the country are upset with a Clarkston man they claim is not sticking to his word.
Adam C. Largent, 24, allegedly sold vehicles and engines on the eBay Internet auction block. But many of his buyers claim they have received faulty goods -- if they received anything at all.
Now he is facing three felony counts of first-degree theft charging him with accepting money without filling the orders as promised.
Since May 13, an emerging pattern of crime reports to the Asotin County Sheriff's Office sparked investigations and put county officials on alert, according to Asotin County court documents
"We started getting calls from across the country," said Michael Sanders, deputy prosecuting attorney for Asotin County. "At first we thought it was a civil case from breach of contract, but there's enough there now to say this guy's got some bad intent."
The sales allegedly included a 1979 Ford F-350 pickup truck for $6,000 to a buyer in Placerville, Colo., and an engine for $3,500 sent to a customer in Virginia Beach, Va.
Two buyers claim to have received merchandise in a condition much worse than what was advertised on the auction site.
In addition, two customers claim they are still waiting for goods, including a $2,000 engine sold to a customer in Yuma, Ariz., and another pickup truck for $5,300 to a customer in Wilbur, Neb.
A sheriff's report stated all the unhappy buyers sent money to Largent either by money order or funds transfer. But when some of the buyers tried to contact him, they claimed he was dodging their efforts.
Sanders said this is likely the first case of its kind in Asotin County.
Largent was arrested Monday afternoon at his Clarkston home, and is scheduled to make a plea Monday morning.
Each count has a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a fine of $20,000.
You won't find the above quote as we removed it due to spamming it throughout the forums.
When I looked him up in eBay, he appeared to have a 100% satisfaction rating but there were some ****** in his armor when I got to reading through all of his feedback.
I really, really hope this one is legit and you don't get burned but I had to drop you a note to let you know.
Just beware buddy. I'd hate to see you get scammed by this character if any of this stuff is true....and from what I've read, it appears to be to some extent.
Take care and yell back when you get a chance.

Thanks for the kind words Gavin and Andre. No thanks necessary Gavin.

Like I said on the phone, all of this is kind of second hand info but I'd say where there's smoke, there's fire. The last thing I'd want to see is any of you guys get burnt on something like this. At least take the steps we talked about and you'll know pretty quickly if it's all legit or not. I wish I had first hand knowledge but all I can offer is what others have written about dealing with this individual. Of course, when it's that amount of money, any of us would proceed with caution...it's only prudent.
It's really a shame that we always have to wonder whether something is being accurately represented or not but it is what it is.
Well, it's cold down here again this morning. Went to the gym this morning and it was just cold. Came out and it was snowing and sleeting.
