Hello
I have a 95 F-150, extended cab. The drivers side inside door handle would not open the door. It would not even pull up. I tood the door panel off to see what was the matter. The bolt that holds the handle assembley was pulling through. I took it off and it has a nutplate clip holding it to the door. The sheet metal around the clip was broken and pulled up not letting the handle move. Does anyone have a fix for this short of a new door?
Thanks
I have seen this many time on the trucks at work. I always weld in another piece of metal to the door.It is kind of tedious- the new metal cant be too thick or to thin, but it sure beats buying a new door. Good luck
I had the same problem. Same truck also. Instead of a weld, because I didn't have the equipment, I used a small toggle bolt inserted through the broken door section. It's still holding after 3 months.
