I have a 351C in my 56 and use a stock 56 Ford radiator for the six cylinder engine. Mine is also 4 row. The inlet and outlet are perfectly placed and the capacity works great.

Why can't you use the radiator that the 351C came out of? I have a 351M and used the radiator that came out of the Bronco.

I'm always curious about the used part prices across the nation. How much did that engine/radiator cost out in Texas? I wonder if the price is the same here in CA.

I go to Pipes U Pull It in Shreveport. I am only like 60 miles from them. They sell engines for $188.00, radiators for $28, transmissions for $56, etc. They are really good on prices, but you have to pull them yourself.

Do you plan on rebuilding it or take a chance and run it as is?

I am completely rebuilding. The seat is gone, the radiator is shot the gas tank has gaping holes, the motor, trans and rearend are original. I want it to go highway speeds and be pretty again.

The 79 Ford Bronco radiator is: 24.17 x 25.47 x 1.26 inches. As you can see I made my own mount so that all original parts would bolt onto the new mount.
