You'll probable be fine with the lifting capacity. However if you ever think you will need to have the whole front end up off the ground for any reason they probably wont go tall enough. I just ran into this problem last week when i replaced my radius arm bushings. Had to get the 6 ton ones to get the truck off the ground with the stands under the frame. Oh and the stands are 2 ton per stand.
I am really just looking to put jack stands under the axle. By jacking on the axle and perhaps with a block of wood or something I think the lift will be enough. If I had to go higher I have a lift stall I can rent but that is only for one day at a time where I am gonna have it up on stands for a few weeks.
Damn jacks get expensive so especially with the higher lift capacities. I found an ok 2 ton set (jack & stands) at Oreillys for $50 I think I am gonna get. Seems slightly better than the harbor freight / walmart sets and a little cheaper to.
I use a 48" 3 1/2 ton farm jack and 2 ton jack stands only because of my lift and tires. I also found my stands at a flea market for $10 in good condition so look there first before buying new.
Was thinking about that or yard sales... Craigslist has been anti jack for some reason. I will be a few days before I really need it so will keep my eyes open.

Yea if you don't mind looking through a lot of crap sometimes you find good things really cheap.
If you go harbor freight keep an eye open for coupons... I found one in petersons offroad and saved $20 on the jack... Been having better experience with their stuff to so probably gonna go there more.
Side note- i read both manuals (imagine that) and it stated that stands are rated by the pair unless otherwise stated. 2 ton stands would work but they are literally within a few bucks so might as well go big. These were $20; cheaper than 2 tons elsewhere.
