how much lift?
I was wonderin how much lift can you put under a 79 1/2 ton with out drive shaft mods I just gave up on my dodge and said the hell with it and bought my uncles old ford I know a dodge can go 4 inches with the original drive shafts i was just wonderin if a ford could do it

You mean to tell me that you have a 6" lift with no drive shaft mods? What I want to know is how high can I go and still not have to lengthen the drive shafts my budget just cant afford new ones. You have to remember that i used to own a dodge (so much for the bank account) as for the user name it will soon change as soon as I can think of a new one. Not tryin to be a pain but Im tryin to learn as much as possible

I have a 78 and 79 F150 and they both have 6" lifts with no drive train problems. I believe they both came with factory 3" blocks on the rear axle, and the previous owners of mine both added another 3" block.
For the front, I think they just put bigger springs in, but I don't know for sure as I wasn't there.
