Welcome to the wonderful world of the Oregon chapter, please join us in the BS section... https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-flow-135.html where we discuss just about anything. Please be an active member in our chapter. We have had so many people sign up and never post up, we don't require dues, you don't have to show up to the GTG, just stop by and say hello. The more people the better, once again welcome.
Hey guys thanks for the warm welcome. I'm in Coos Bay and I've got an '84 F250 6.9l NA with the T-19 4spd. Hopefully in the next few months I'm going to fix that "NA" part... I'm thinking about getting a hypermax pulse turbo kit maybe unless I find a really complete used kit. I'm currently working on putting a tach in the truck which Ford inexplicably did not include from the factory. Also thinking about doing the headlight wiring harness mod that's supposed to make these old trucks headlights shine bright again. If anyone has any tips about this stuff or anything else, I'm all ears...
Anyway, thanks for letting me into the OR chapter!
mrbison Welcome to The Oregon Chapter.
A wire harness with relay's will help also how old are your headlights. If you want a big improvement install some E-code headlights.
My name is Jason and my truck (and it's headlights) are 27 years old (only 1 year younger than me hahaha)...Right now I'm finishing my last term of school to be a registered nurse, so hopefully I'll have a job in the hospital soon and I can start throwing even more money at my truck lol. Seriously though, my truck runs great it just has some "old truck" features I'd like to upgrade like the headlights and steering for example...
Welcome. The only rig I had from that body style was a '81 Bronco with cut fenders, no lift, straight pipe exhaust, and 36" swampers. I just beat the hell out of that truck and then gave it to a buddy of mine.
Those old IDI diesels are good motors. Very simple and dependable.
Thanks everyone! We are not in OR yet. We will be there towards the end of April. We are looking at a rental north of Oakland (Sutherlin/Roseburg area). We are heading down there Thursday to look at it.
I recently bought a 03 F250 SuperDuty with a 6.0 diesel. I really enjoy the truck so far. Its a daily driver. We do have a 8X16 trailer we bought to use as a garage for our Can Am Spyder trike and a 83 Kawasaki KZ1100 Spectre,
I m a retired union carpenter, been retired for 3 years. We are originally from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I came to the Seattle are 4 years ago looking for work to complete my hours for my pension. When that was done, my wife retired, and we decided to give the west coast a try, instead of the frozen tundra of MI. Sold our shack back there, packed up, and came out here permanently
I guess that's aboot it. Looking forward to moving further south. Mount Vernon,WA is a bit farther north than I like. Too much water during the winter.
June we are heading out with our Spyder, with which we tow a small pop up tent camper, on a trip to Colorado. From there, not sure, but the second major stop will be back in MI, and then mozie on back to OR by the middle of July. The pooch in my avatar is our dog named Kiddo. She has been cross country on the back of the Spyder twice now, this year will be her 3rd summer touring on the Spyder.
Thanks again for your hospitality and I will do my best not to be a stranger.
Welcome to the Chapter Draboo. The Roseburg area is pretty nice. I was born there, but lived in Corvallis since I was about 3. Sounds like a great trip you have planned!
