(Not too sure if this belongs in the "Non-Auto Discussion thread") For me, it's mostly anything by AC/DC or Metallica. Maybe some ZZ Top and The Doors, as well as a bunch of others that I lost count of... So what about you folks? What do you like to jam out to while crusing the gut? Or speeding down the freeway? Or creeping up some mountain trail? Or taking your woman for a drive down some dusty backroad?
For(d) driving fast I'm with you on the Highway to Hell or Breadfan. For crusing ZZ Top's Nationwide? is a good one. To relax in traffic I've found Santana to be the most effective. Also a big fan of Stevie Ray Vaughn for cruising.
San Francisco area - AC/DC Highway to Hell
Los Angeles area - Guns 'n' Roses Welcome to the Jungle
Phoenix - Alice Coopers Welcome to My Nightmare
Otherwise, just cruising:
Steppenwolf's Born To Be Wild gets me going
Deep Purple's Highway Star has gotten me into some "trouble" with a heavy left foot, if you know what I mean
Poison's Ride The Wind when I want something for a long trip
Tom Cochrane's Life Is A Highway
Otherwise, some Joe Satriani or Stevie Ray Vaughn or Van Halen or Judas Priest or ...... just about any good classic rock will work.
OK you got to go back to the 50's 60's to get some of us in this....
I'm trying to decide if I want to put an 8-Track player in my '64 Falcon convertible. I think I will for the visual appeal but also run an iPod input 'cause I'm pretty sure I can't get any good sounding 8-Track tapes these days. I like 60's music when I cruise it. It's a Beach Boys kinda car.

Haha living so close to SF I can certainly relate. I ONLY go there to see football games. Priest's "Freewheel Burning" is a "let's tempt the cops" song if I've ever heard one!

Can never go wrong with the Eagles! Maybe a little Montrose or Sammy Hagar thrown in for good measure? Bad Motor Scooter or I can't Drive 55!
