Rebuilt turbo leak oil on exhaust side

I rebuilt turbo. I test all parts with measure. They are good. Old parts have show little wearing expect exhaust bushing they look overheat or too much load on it but size is good so I was surprised.

Then I had good idea why not pour 5w40 shell T6 in turbo while it sit on table so I could pre-oil all bushing and bearing. Filled up to full. I was playing with wheel to get oil go inside. Test for play I would say there were none play but much better than before.

Left there next day I check to see if oil went low. Yes it went low It wasn't alot oil. More like 1 TBPS. I thought it good but decided to inspect compression and exhaust wheel. It turn exhaust side are full of oil. It didn't leak oil that for like 3 hours. Until overnight it leak.

Is that good or bad? I spend 10 mins of clean carbon off exhaust wheel's shaft for ring go inside.

I'm not sure that's the best way to "test" a turbo. I always bolted mine back up and went for a test ride. What did you replace? There is no o-ring between the center section and the exhaust housing. Turning a turbo upside down and filling it with oil does not mimic how it works in real life. I would go back through one of the writeups and make sure you put the parts in the right place.
