55 grille

55 grille

Does a 55 f100 grille have a slight curve across the horizontal parts of it? I have one i want to put on my truck but its needs some work i put it on the table the headlight buckets are level on table but the rest has a curve outwards

If you mean it's bowed out in the center that is probably correct. Install it to your truck and if the center brace lines up with the attachment holes you'll know for sure. I have a 55 grille I can go out and check.

yep thats what i meant thanks that helps caues i was going to straighten it, thought i better ask somebody first, thanks for the help

I'm sure it's fine. Other years are the same way. And besides, having it bend outward would be the reverse of what happens when they run into something. It would be an unusual incident.

All of them have a bow outwards, it matches the curve of the valance and the hood. Pure flat panels are not very pleasing to the eye, it's hard to find a "flat" panel on these trucks other than the bed.
