best gear performance?

That's OK, the only time my wife ever goes "mudding" is when she pulls my stupid 2wd butt out when I venture out into the fields a little too soon after a rain.

thanks guys... im gonna have to get my build sheet or wait till i get home so i can look at my diff. and verify because i did some research and the 06 F250s came stock with 3.73's, 4.10's, and 4.30's so im gonna have to see what im running for all i know i could arleady have 4.10's but thank yall for the info

Some 06 SD's came with those gears, but not the F250 PSDs. You have the 3.73s; 4.10s were standard in the DRW F350 PSD, and the 4.30s came with the Tow Boss package. Gassers had more choices; you could definitely get 4.30s in SRWs with the 6.8L, and maybe 4.10s with the 5.4L or 6.8L.

SD=Super Duty, PSD=Power Stroke Diesel.
The engine figures into available gearing options. SRW (single rear wheel) trucks with the diesel should have gotten 3.73, with the diesel duallies getting 4.10s, then the Tow Boss package for the duallies would add 4.30s.
