Canyon Red Interior
From 1987 - 1991, what years had the Canyon Red interior?
I know the Canyon Red (dark red) was later changed to Scarlet Red (bright red) at some point. I am looking for an original Ford carpet for a standard cab automatic transmission in Canyon Red for my 1985 F150 and would like to know what years to ask for.
Does anyone know what the Ford trim code is?

There were three "Canyon Red" paint colors in '87
Midnight Canyon Red (2C)
Medium Canyon Red (2M)
and
Light Canyon Red (2E)
I only know this from having to get paint to match my truck.
I have Light Canyon Red (color code 2E for the 1987 model year)
This is probably the Scarlet Red you mention, but the interior is a darker, almost sanguine red.
I have a rubber mat and vinyl seat but fabric headliner and carpet on the back wall.
I don't think there were so many interior colors in this era.
Blue
Red
Fawn
Gray
I've never seen creme, black or green, but that's not to say they don't exist.

Last years for black and green interiors was early 80's. Not 100% sure on the black, but last year for green was early 80's.
My '89 F150 has the bright Scarlet Red interior. Love it. I've seen a few '87's with odd colored red interiors, and I don't like 'em as much. I've always loved bright reds.
Funny I only like red when it comes to interiors. I hate red vehicles. lol
