Be ready to look long and hard and pay big bucks. I have been looking for a support for my 65 4X4 for 3 months. Had a call today. A guy had two of them. $425 each. Ouch!:
You're lucky, the earlier ones seem to be easier to find than '65 and '66. Going rate at Carlisle was $250 for really nice ones, though some guys will ask more.
Asking price on '65 ones was $500.
I got one for $300.

I know what you mean. I had to "remanufacture" mine. It was all rusted out on the ends and along the bottom. Took me days and days to replace all that metal. Later,
Whats even more perplexing is the 65 is different that the 66 and both of these are different still from the earlier versions. Talk about hard to find in good condition.
use this address and send kyle an email. He is out in the mountains about 30 miles out of Boone NC. had an originall 66 door glass he is shipping me for an awsome price. has about 600 older vehicles out there, lots of FE parts too. may have what you need.
There was a post somewhere here about a man who fixes the core support. Supposedly he charged 300+ dollars or so? I cant remember and am too lazy to do a search right now and weed through the posts.
just spotted one on EBAY. starting bid was $10 and buy it now was $200. looks in good shape and has picture. says it was cleaned up and restored. might be worth a look if you are still needing one.
