Went and brought the 64 f100 frame and better cab home yesterday. I plan on running a 351w with a c6. I plan on in the future lowering the front end when I get it back from my dad, so I was thinking about installing a mustang II front end assy. Has anyone done this? Is there a better alternative? Welding does not scare me, but I want good quality pieces. I was going to do the disc brake conversion and upgrade to power steering, and I know I would need to change the crossmember anyway also.
Basically, I am trying to find out who did what, and if they regretted it or not so I dont have the same issue.
thanks
Depends on how low you want to go. For 3" a lot of folks (myself included) use drop I-beams from either AIM or DJM. If you want to "slam" it, you might check out Fatman Fabrications website. If you go the drop I-beam route you can simply use spindles from a 73-79 disc brake truck.
