upgraded headlights
Hey guys I just recently purchased updated headlights from Rockauto and installed them yesterday. I bought headlights for an 04 for my 01 everything went together perfect I used a post by BigPigDaddy and it went smooth until the last piece of the puzzle. I went to install the driver side corner assembly and put the bulbs in and the blinker socket just sat there freefloating. It almost seemed like there were no tabs to lock the socket in? And also when I put the two screws in the bottom it pulled the top corner out of the holder. I will be taking some pictures later today for a better referance but has anyone else had this problem when they did an upgrade? I called rockauto and I understand that Im not putting them on the correct vehicle and they cant do anything about it but I believe its just a defective part.

lq10 Just did a similar change out on my 01 and found that the snap fit on the upper corner lenz was a little oxidized on both sides. A small squirt of LPS 2 (better than wd) cured the problem by allowing the snap clips to work They might last a little longer as well.
