So you guys that are brave enough too get rid of your warranty and tune it what kind of power number are you getting? i know as of now its the turbo and the fuel system that stopping it from being able too break 700hp. Then i do know that banks, i believe, came out with a twin turbo system so is the only thing holding it back right not the fuel system (fuel pump, injectors, etc) but possible cracking the code on the computer? anyone got any opinions are info? possible what there truck is doing right now?
i have every belief the engine can get too over 1,000 with out nitrous
To each his own is this world we live in, but I'm just kinda curious is to why a person would want to change anything to add horsepower or speed to these perfectly wonderful trucks, I've had the pleasure of owning mine for almost 2 years and can't imagine needing to go ny faster or haul anything heavier that it can't do straight off the showrooom floor. LOL!! But of course, I'm just an OLD Fart farmer that happens to love his truck !!! LOL !!!However I do miss blowing black smoke
Traded in my 2010 spartan tuned 250 for 2011 350 and I can tell you IMO I would never look back. Sure the spartan was great unloaded but I think this truck pulls the 5er much better then the spartan 210 tune. However I do miss blowing black smoke and lighting up the rubber but I guess I'm getting older and love the way this new truck performs stock! I've read the 6.7 doesn't have the capabilities the 6.4 did due to turbo set up and fueling issues. To each his own but I'll take my stock 6.7 with 13k behind it.
Stm

nothing is stopping you from roasting the tires, just turn of the traction control and it will light them up
When the first 6.7s started appearing on the roads a lot of folks would state the it's pretty much what a tuned 6.4 is like except a hot 6.4 would have a decent advantage if you turned it up.
In some ways it was just a way of guys feeling better about their trucks, some were ways to stir up the "mine is faster" debates, but it probably is true.
If I remember right the turbo on our 6.7 is limited to 30 psi max so we could only get whatever that would make. Prolly looking at a max of 500hp if I had to guess. Does the 6.4 max out at 1050? Something really big from what I remember.
Factory 6.7 turbo can make almost 40 psi with the warhammer tune. With H&S on Hot I've seen 32-34 psi on my truck.
RWHP with H&S on Hot is just shy of 500 now, with 1050ish ft lbs.
RWHP with the warhammer is just over 500 and I believe over 1100 ft lbs.
Once the aftermarket catches up and fuel system upgrades become available the possibilities will increase.
Highest HP with a 6.4 on nitrous was just over 1200.
damn if that's too the wheels with the programmer you probably gained 150ish on hp and 325 on tq, granted your truck made 375 hp and 775 stock to the wheels, not bad at all. definatly excited too see what new turbo plus fuel system will do
To each his own indeed!
Yep it is a decent truck stock. But it is an awesome truck tuned!
And I AM AN OLD FART.
Sure it has a bit more HP/TQ than a 6.4 but not all that much.
To say it is like a tuned 6.4 is not accurate in any way whatsoever (unless maybe you built your own tuner or possibly got one from Radio Shack??). A tuned 6.4 will SMOKE a tuned 6.7, trust me on this one, I know first hand.
The REAR WHEEL HP/TQ numbers are as follows (approx):
6.7 stock = 333/677
6.7 tuned = 497/1044
6.4 stock = 306/648
6.4 tuned = 582/1207
After driving this truck tuned for over a year there is NO WAY I would go back to stock. I love it! I can't wait until spring and clear roads to put some power to the ground!
Industrial Injection has a twin turbo kit but we are still limited on fuel. Until someone figures out a way to get more fuel to the engine we are stuck at abut where we are (which is OK by me, as I am an old fart I don't need too much more power)
OH YA, some of H&S early tunes would make 38 PSI boost which sounded AWESOME with aFe intake!!!
Still get up to 35 - 36 PSI, but I am way back on TV 6.7.9. I believe current tune version is 6.7.18. 6.7.9 gave me TPMS adjustment and brake boost capable, I have not seen anything I needed since then!
Try a boosted launch on your stock truck and see how you like limp mode (just kiddin')
Go have some fun, that's what it's all about!
Thanks

Reason: OH YA
NADP (North American Diesel Performance).
Give them a call and ask for Craig, he knows a lot about diesel performance. They can get you Spartan or H&S and know both very well. Talked to him last week and he says they have put tuners on 600+ 6.7l super duties (that's a lot LOL)
The mileage increase is pretty small 1 - 2 MPG I think but I don't really keep track.
Well I'm not an old fart, yet, but I'm getting closer every day. I'm a young 48 years old and LOVE more power. I love outrunning cars in a big ol truck, and I also compete in street truck pulls 2 or 3 times a year.
Since I've got the new 6.7 the only person to really beat me was a 6.4 Hot Tuned smoker. I don't want to get beat by anybody again so I'm pulling the "Buy It Now" lever. I'm pretty sold on the H&S tuner and probably a straight pipe for DEF and DPF delete.
Do you really need to delete the EGR too? Maybe I'll just call H&S too, but wondering what y'all have done. I also don't know if I want the Race Pro or the other one that has to stay plugged in. Oh what to do.

You will be happy!!!!
No you don't have to delete the full EGR anymore. I did back in 2010 (and I think I still would today) but now H&S has a plate kit that you just block the tube(s) between the EGR and engine. Not sure exactly how it works but, yes, call H&S and they will set you up?
