Hubcaps were argent silver with red letters or Stainless steel with black letters.
The Stainless steel ones are reproduced.
Just a note if you upgrade to front disc brakes the stock 61 to 65 ford innie type wheels will not fit. Wheel vintiqes makes a 15 inch wheel that looks stock and accepts the innie caps.
I have a pair hanging on th wall and they are just plain Argent silver. i'm sure they came in a couple of different finishes, I have seen some that were white with red letters, not sure if they were redone or not, but they looked good.

Hey Dave,
One thing... not sure about the 15 inch innies, but my 16" stock innies did fit when I converted to discs...I added an
aluminum lug spacer (1/8") that I bought online, and they cleared the calipers with plenty of lug thread for safety.
On your twin i you can cheat with the spacer. The steering linkages design is a bit more forgiving.
On a straight axle adding a spacer causes bump steer with the solid tie rod and rise and fall as the leafg springs work. It can even cause death wobble as the mounting point is moved out and upsets the geometery away from the spindle.
I have never fitted 16 inch to check if thy will clear the Chevrolet Calipers that will be installed on any 61 to 64.
On this note about wheels, are there any Ford 16 inchers that fit these trucks? There doesn't seem to be a lot of choice in tire sizes for 15 in wheels. John

Ah shoot...I didn't read the model year there...sorry mate.
1961/64 & some 1965/66 F100 Standard Cabs came with painted 9 1/2" 'innie' "bottlecap" hubcaps, either argent/silver with red letters, or colonial white with red letters.
Stainless steel "bottlecaps" with black letters [B][COLOR=red]were used on Custom Cabs.
The Stainless steel hubcaps ( C3TZ-1130-A ) are reproduced.
The two versions of the Standard Cab 'bottlecap' hubcaps are not reproduced. All 1961/64 F100's came with innie wheels, as did some 1965/66 F100's.
Outie wheels were introduced in 1965, so both types will be found on 1965/66's.

Since the moon is round, baby moons are conical shaped. The caps you are describing are genuine Ford, basically flat, with 12 of these \_/ scallops around the edge.
These scallops resemble bottle openers, so someone, many moons ago, named the caps...bottlecaps.
Innie: So called because the hubcap snaps onto tabs located within the center section of the wheel.
Outie: So called because the hubcap snaps over tabs located on the outside of the wheels center section.
1965/66 outie hubcaps are 10 1/4" O/A diameter. There were three version (1) stainless, (2) painted.
