VACUUM

How many inHg should the little pump under the hood create? '04 F-250 4X4.

I've never measured it, nor seen a spec. However, the hubs require at least 8.75 in/Hg to lock, so I'd say at least that much.

I found a leak between where I was testing and the pump, this one goes to 25 and shuts off.

I don't think too much vacuum is a problem, unless it gets to the point that it starts collapsing lines or something.

Sounds like your pump is working well. I would measure mine as a comparison, but I don't have a vacuum gauge.

Just went out and checked mine. Shuts off @ 10 in/hg.
