I wonder How well it works

Its a Great price

I wounder if you could control things for testing purposes And if it has Like a Cylinder Balance test or anything with it

Wonder if its like an AE with the Ford Bundle or just a Good Code reader

Definatly interested if its like an AE But that might be to good to be true

I emailed the seller asking if the software supported injector buzz test & cylinder contribution test. Also what else the software has to offer for the 6.0 application. Will return the results once I get a reply.

$1000 is still kinda steep for us back yard guys.

I try and stay away from knock off stuff. But the price is in my range.

IMO you are wasting your money on something like that. Save your money for the AE.

Be careful. I thought the same after spending 8K one year in tools. I got audited & went in with my receipts & representative. Straight from the IRS book this is exactly what they read to me & then handed me the booklet.

Tools Used in Your Work
Generally, you can deduct amounts you spend for tools
used in your work if the tools wear out and are thrown away
within 1 year from the date of purchase.
Then

not exactly how it works. you can either depreciate the value over time or right them off as an related work expence. been doing the same for 20 years.you need to itimizez as well. I dont do my own taxes either, I am however aware of the rule you are speaking of.

I just spent 4K on a new fluke, so I can understand. But i do not work on trucks for a living. If this will work with real IDS it will be great. I do understand that the new versions require a subscription key.

If a version from 05 or so works then I will be happy.

Yes depreciate the value over time is what I ended having to go with. Going to have to look into the unrelated work expense. Whatever works I guess.

My cheap boss bought the china ids last year we got it to work all it could do is work with a 7.3. So he bought a real ids works mint like it should i have a AE for myself at home no where near the ease of use like an ids its slow sometimes jams up glad i dont have to use it everyday but for the price and for what it does for a 6.0 its all you need for the home mechanic. I heard the vcm2 has a yearly renewal of $500 anybody hear of this?

I also bought this "clone" vcm. I still have it and couldn't get it to work. I was emailing them and they were acting like they wanted to help get it working. I would send out to a fellow fte member to see if they can get it to work. I ended up going with ae.
