Can anyone provide me with a wiring diagram for a high/ low beam switch . For a 1978 F150 . Whoever had my truck before just took the switch out and wired them to be low beams all the time.There is 5 wires coming down to a switch that has three prongs ?Any info will help .

 

The closest I can get is 1980. If you want it send me a private message with your e-mail on it and I will take a digital picture of it and e-mail it to you.

 

1 wire for power to the Dimmer switch from the headlight switch
This wire is red/yellow


2 wires Red/Black for the Dim circuit

2 wires Green/Blackfor the Bright circuit

 

1 wire for power to the Dimmer switch from the headlight switch
This wire is red/yellow


2 wires Red/Black for the Dim circuit

2 wires Green/Blackfor the Bright circuit

The mechanics best friend is thre service or shop manual.
You might want to consider purchasing a CDRom version of the original Ford Shop manual which includes all the ewiring diagrams & the original brochure.
