Screw - added door sill protectors for rear

Hi all!
I thought it was kind of odd that they missed installing the rear door sill protectors on my 2012 screw. Is that the case for everybody?
Anyway, I did not like that too much, as the kids always step on the bare paint now on the rear door sill, especially since I do not have my steps on yet. They left a few scratches on there already within two weeks of us owning the truck: small rocks stuck on their shoes, sliding off, etc.
So I ordered a set of door sill protectors, see below. I think the ones I got look better than those OEM ones from Ford on the front. Maybe I replace the fronts as well, as the ones I bought came with all 4, so I already have them.
What do you guys think?

Sweet. I need to get some of those for the exact same reason. What brand are they and where'd you get them?

I ordered them from Amazon: Amazon.com: Auto Ventshade 91114 Black Door Sill Protector: Automotive

The pic on Amazon looks different, it's just a generic picture I think. It's a set of 4 for front and back, the front ones are longer, but I didn't use them.

Flixden,

I agree with you the new ones look better than the OEM. How do they secure? Is it just adhesive tape? If so, do you have to remove the front OEMs before putting the new ones on or can you put them over the top?

Yes, they have self adhesive strips on the back, so cleaning before putting them on is important.
I am not sure if they would stick on top of the OEM ones, they probably would. I have not tried yet. So far, the rear was most important to me.

Thanks for the info. Having three kids and a dog I am sure I will have to invest in these as well.

Flixden, are the 91114's the ones you ordered? Amazon's screen states they won't fit 2012 Screw. I'm pretty sure the truck you waited so long for was the same as mine. If the 91114's fit your Screw, I will have to order a set as my XLT does not have them in the front or back

Thanks for posting this.

Yes, I got the 91114's, it even says that on the packaging. Don't worry about the Amazon picture, or the fitment guide (which I think is just outdated). They fit perfectly.
Weird your XLT came without them in the front. I don't remember seeing that as an option anywhere. Anyway, get the 91114's, they'll do the job!

EDIT: the 91114's fit the screw like mine.

Does anyone have a link to an application chart for these? I'd like to order a set for my Super Cab but can't find anything listed

I run the AVS sill protectors too. I had them in my 06 F150 scab and I loved the way they cover the whole sill on the scabs. When I bought them for my 2011 last March they didn't even make the sill protectors for a 09+ scab. I bought the ones for a 04-08 scab and modified them to fit.

They look much better (and probably less slippery) than the stock ones. I'll have to pick up a set, too...as I'm starting to notice the scuffs and scratches from my daughter and dog getting in and out.
