2011 2012 SuperDuty HP Torque
Hi all,
I was just at the FORD website doing some research on the 6.2L for the SuperDuty line.
Ok...here is what I got for HP and Torque numbers...
HP:
385 @ 5500 rmp (6.2L V8 under 10K GVWR)
--OR--
316 @ 4179 rpm (6.2L V8 over 10K GVWR)

Torque:
405 @ 4500 rpm (6.2L V8 under 10K GVWR)
-- OR --
397 @ 4179 rpm (6.2L V8 over 10K GVWR)
<--------------------->
So...question...what is the difference with the 6.2L in the SuperDuty? Do they or do they not have a different tune based on GVWR???
Can someone please confirm...

No difference in them. There have been a few threads on this. The ratings are at different RPMs for the F-250 versus the F-350. The actual output is the same regardless of which truck it's in. The only thing that's different is the RPMs at which each is rated.
