The sierra is a PG antifreeze for gassers that dont need SCA's. You should be using a low silicate formula for diesels.

So do you need any extra SCA for this? Like down the road sometime? And did you put make it 50/50 solution with coolant and distilled water or go striaght coolant?

Mike thanks for starting this thread, will be very helpful when I do my oil cooler and coolant flush.

You will have to check the SCA's down the road. I check mine every 15k. You mix Four gallons of coolant and four gallons of distilled water

I can't tell from this link, is this premixed ready to pour in or do you mix it 50/50? I hope its the kind you mix, I think the ready to pour in stuff is a rip off because your only getting half of what your paying for. The other half is water.

Good, I like mixing it, I feel that I'm getting my money's worth that way. Unless of course they sell the premix stuff at half price.

Thanks for asking but you will not believe it. It was leaking out of the metal cover plate where you access the bolt for the HPOP!! It was running down the front cover behind the alternator bracket to the top edge of the oil pan. Then it ran to the back of the engine and I thought my rear main seal was leaking, LOL

Where have you been and did you ever find that miss?

Talking

Yes Mike we have

The miss is still there, cant seem to find it. Rick thought that there is some sort of ground or somethin on the inj 1,2,7 from the codes so I went and looked.

Cant find em. I think it maybe in the solinoids yet. How ever it comes and oges now. One day it will run like a top.

So no helicoils needed for yours hu?

I been working my tail off. So its hard to drop in here.

Or Glenn were you talking about this Miss?

Nice Miss!! I guess I assumed you read that thread. I had to drill, tap and put in EZ locks. I sweated that I could drill straight with the angle drill in such a small space but it all worked out OK, so far!

Pull those injectors and get it over with!!
