Alternator Wiring help needed!!!!!!!

i have a 81 f-100 with a 78 400m in it, it seems not to be charging the battery i had the alt. checked and it showed up good, but i really dont know where the wires go from the back of the alt to where they are sopose to be, can anyone help me on the wiring for this, it would be very helpful. i have the power wire form the starter solenoid to the right spot on the alt and there is an orange wire that i think is in the right spot and it runs to the voltage regulator. but i know there is another wire to be hooked up but i dont know where it goes to and from, any help would be wonderful.
Thanks All,
Duran.

Alternator Wiring help needed!!!!!!!

The F terminal on the regulator goes to the Fld term on the alt. The regulator needs a hot while running to the S term. Another way with an idiot light is to use the I terminal but the S hookup is easier to do.
