Lifting

Does anyone know where I can find a body lift kit for my 1996 F-250 7.3L diesel truck? everywhere i look on the internet they have lift for non diesel f250s

They should all be the same. The body is the same across both platforms. Be aware though that with a body lift comes a lot of squeaks and rattles...

im just confused because all the kits said will not fit truck with diesel engine

Brown Falcon had one on his truck for a while. I am not sure if he purchased it himself or not, but I think he did the install. He might be a good one to ask.

If you do any heavy towing dont do a body lift...

probally referring to them overheating with the fan misaligned, at least thats what ive heard

Either that or I would think using a fifth wheel or goose neck hitch would be a little problematic with a body lift holding the bed that far above the frame. You would have to come up with a "field engineered" way to make it so the hitch plate or rails were putting the weight on the frame and not on the bed.
