Calling all Scangauge users!
It was a waste of money for my 96. Here's some email communications I had with them when I could only get a very few minimal functions to work..........................
"Thank you for your inquiry. I apologize about the delayed response. I spoke to our engineers regarding your issue. They would like you to try a special command. From the home screen (the button with the red circle around it) from there select MORE> MORE> COMMANDS> EDIT> choose a MEMORY slot> EDIT> use the plus or minus sign to scroll through characters and enter 616AF103> SEND. After you send it, please write down whatever comes up on the screen. It will be the raw trouble code response from the ECU. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com

"Tried the special command in Memory 0 and Memory 1. Result was a blank screen with OK in the lower right corner and the arrow indicating to push the button just above the menu button which takes it back to the select and edit screen.
Still shows 74 codes in the scan mode. Code and Stored Codes don't show any codes and Clear comes up No Response.

]"I spoke to our engineer regarding your issue and he said that the unit is most likely acting weird because the Ford, GM, and Dodge diesels for that year were not required to be fully OBD2 compatible. Because of this, he really has not other solution. [/FONT]<o

I am running 2 of them on my '97. I am also running a boost PSI, fuel PSI, and EGT sensors on mine as additional gauges that the PCM doesn't read. I got rid of 4 gauges with the 2 Interceptors and I have a lot of other info I can display.
The Interceptor will see and display any parameter that the PCM sees. It will also do buzz & CCT test along with checking and clearing DTC's.
